About Popped Candy

Our Story

My name is Cat Frost and am the owner/operator here at Popped Candy. Between 2012 and 2015, I earned an associate's degree in culinary arts and a bachelor's in hospitality management with a focus in pastry arts. I opened a custom cake bakery in 2015 till we moved to Albuquerque in Jan 2020

Growing up on a small dairy farm on the Oregon Coast, At just 17, I joined the U.S. Army for bigger dreams and to see the world! in 2007 I was deployed to Iraq for the Operation Iraqi Freedom campaign but just a few months in theater, I was diagnosed with cancer. While at Walter Reed army hospital, I met a stud of an Air Force guy and fell  head over heels. In 2010 we were married and the same year I was medically retired from the Army.

In December, 2019, I sold the bakery and we moved out for the Southwest by January of 2020. In 2022, Hubby bought me a freeze dryer and the rest is history!

Experimenting, creating new and fun treats and getting to interact with you, our customer is such a joy for me and I hope you can experience our sweet treats soon! The support is greatly appreciated and means the world to our small business.
